When are you going to wake up?

When are the you people going to wake up? By you, I mean the ninety million who did not vote in the 2016 election and the majority of white women voters who voted for the GOP and the piece of shit president we now have. How many times do you have to be insulted, talked down to, and basically ignored in policy decisions concerning making life better for Americans.

Four hundred years ago, the North American continent was invaded by British pilgrims, clients of British royalty, and indentured slaves. The clients assumed all leadership roles and delegated who would get land, jobs, and power. After realizing the benefits of slavery in increasing their wealth( British clients and leaders), then shifted from a pure colonial system of acquiring the Native Americans land through genocide and war to a slave capitalist system. Even then the "common man" was left with scraps: a few acres of land and a damn mule, maybe. 

The slave-owning founders wrote a constitution expounding on equality, liberty, and justice for all while denying slaves humanity. And still the "common man" was left with scraps. The Industrial Revolution provided a degree of economic freedom but was still tilted toward the landowners, industrialists, and generational wealthy. 

Moving forward to today, we have a new generation of leaders of the GOP who have expressed in no uncertain that they are aligned with their wealthy donors. They have a tax plan which robs the "common man" in favor of their rich donors. Their president is stacking the judicial bench with incompetent trolls to impede justice. His cabinet is purposely destroying government agencies which protect our water, air, and food, etc. He threatens war with North Korea to benefit his megalomania and inadequacy as a human being. His GOP allies support a pedophile for election to the Senate. The GOP congress writes legislation to promote discrimination against LGBTQ persons, deny women their healthcare, and on and on. But yet voters keep supporting them. Why?

Is it stupidity, racism, ignorance, greed, apathy? What makes a people allow themselves to be hoodwinked and lied to by a group of charlatans?  When are you going to wake up?
