Today saw the entry of Rick Santorum into the 2016 Presidential Campaign. Another nitwit, Rick Santorum, former Senator from Pennsylvania, is trying to play to the same base of low information voters, religious fanatics, anti-abortionists, homophobes, and racists that the other turds in the contest are trying to attract. 

According to ThinkProgress, Santorum believes that: (1) If you don’t have an ID, you’re trying to rig the election. (2) Even if it survives Obamacare, “our country will fall” because of same-sex marriage. (3) In Obama’s America, religious people are on “the path” to being beheaded. (4) Health insurance companies should discriminate against people with pre-existing conditions. To list just a few.

There are other gems of wisdom spouting from Santorum but I think you get the idea that this guy is a total fool. But before you totally discount him in 2012 he finished second behind Mitt Romney for the GOP nomination so there are plenty of fools in America who think like him. And that is really sad.

To date we have three almost candidates for the Democratic ticket and five or more for the Republican presidential ticket. Let me point out the high points so far.

On the Demo side: 
1. Hillary Clinton - she is talking to the people to gain an understanding of what the 99% want. A good show since she is totally financed and owned by the 1%.
2. Bernie Sanders - a truth-talker who who knows what needs to be done to move America forward and unfortunately will never get the nomination. I hope I am wrong. 
3. Martin O'Malley, former governor of Maryland and mayor of Baltimore, who did nothing to help the underprivileged and outcasts of his state. Another centrist Democrat which means he has no ideas, lacks courage, and will sellout at the first opportunity he gets.

On the Repub side:
1. Marco Rubio - who continues to astonish everyone by his ignorance and lack of intelligence about every issue. Just another scam artist and a closet thief.
2. Tom Cruz - a perfect example of what happens when a fraudulent preacher sends his son to Harvard to become an educated fool.
3. Rand Paul - a racist in plain clothing who claims to be a libertarian while living off of Medicare/Medcaid patients.
4. Ben Carson - an Uncle Tom who hates being black and having benefited from affirmative action.
5 Mike Huckabee - a fraudulent preacher that preaches hate and panders to the dumbest voters he can find. 

So good citizen you make your choice for your best candidate to be president and build a strong America for the future. 

I was reading a recent article by lecturer, Tim Wise, in which he explains the history of how poor European immigrants (southern whites) were conned into working against their own best interests by the plantation owners and political class. He states that:

 "Even though the wealthy were able to escape military service during the civil war if they owned a sufficient number of Africans—a class privilege one might expect to rankle poor whites who would have to take up the slack and risk their own lives to protect the power of the planter elite—working class whites typically fell in line, fighting and dying to protect a way of life the benefits of which were mostly enjoyed by persons unlike themselves."


That statement amazes me in several respects. Imagine the level of ignorance that must have prevailed in the South that a person would volunteer to fight for the Confederacy and protect slave-owners (and their wealth) while having no economic opportunity and was essentially treated as semi-slave. The volunteers were the ultimate puns in a chess-match, the suckers who died to protect a system that misused and abused them. 

Also when one considers today's South where right-to-work laws depress wages, millions of people are denied healthcare (ACA), rural poverty rampant, and poor educational structure, you have to wonder what has changed in whites understanding since the white supremacy system was installed over a 150 years ago. From the viewpoint of today's southern elite (wealthy and political classes), nothing! They are the same dumb-asses they were in the Civil War era.

The Amtrak wreck in Pennsylvania was likely caused by human error but that is not the only answer. American spends ten percent ($1.4 billion) on infrastructure as China ($148 billion). The pathetic GOP consistently votes down additional infrastructure funding and tries to strip what funding is available. 

China on the other hand is building a 21st Century infrastructure with high speed rail, internet, communications, a space program, etc. That is they are looking toward the future while we continue to elect trolls, fools, economic idiots, and racists to govern America. America moves backward being governed by a collection of head-in-the-sand buffoons who deny global climate change and have as their main goal the repeal of Obamacare, abortion, food stamps, voting rights, LGBT rights, the minimum wage, EPA, and etc.

It is a shame to sit and watch a bunch of yohoos destroy our country but those who complain did not vote for Republicans. 

I was watching the Rachel Maddows show tonight when she posted a picture of the 22 potential GOP presidential candidates. I then texted my good friend and lamented about the poor quality of the candidates and said they were a bunch of worthless mofos.

He texted me back and suggested a number of alternate and more descriptive as well as politically incorrect names besides mofos. 

I took his suggestion seriously and texted him that 'I was thinking'. After five minutes, I texted him back and suggested the name "turds" which he thought was promising and would consider it. 

I explained that none of them have the character and moral integrity to be a leader let alone President of the United States. They all lie and deny global warming, they are basically racists, they are greedy, they have no real interest in working Americans, they all grovel on their knees to billionaires, and they all lack ideas to move the country forward.

Their only worth is being flushed down a toilet into the sewer to join the rest of the filth and be consumed by scavenger bacterial as food. After a couple of minutes he texted me back and said he agreed wholeheartedly.
