As the 2016 election enters its final weeks, one question keeps haunting me: why would anyone vote to reelect Sen. Marco Rubio? In 2010, I wondered why anyone would elect him into the Senate based on his past record of malfeasance, embezzlement, poor judgement, and corruption. (See Business Insider). Now six years later this buffoon is running for reelection after he stated publicly that he did not like being a senator and missed more workdays than anyone else in the Senate. It appears to me that his only reason for being in political office is to scam people out of their money to support a bogus lifestyle.
Rubio's policies, if you can call them that, are based on what his donors say they are. He has demonstrated no understanding of foreign or domestic policy. He has adopted all the standard voodoo economic policies prescribed by the GOP insiders (Washington Post) and shown no real backbone by changing positions to suit whoever disagrees with him. (Wall Street Journal) And yet, Rubio is leading/tied in his reelection campaign. A man lacking in substance, moral fiber, integrity, and knowledge is leading/tied his opponent (a Democrat in Name Only) Patrick Murphy. Maybe it demonstrates that voting for a known piece of shit is better than taking a risk on a new piece of shit.

With thirty days to go before the election, Donald Trump's election ordeal is about over. Hillary Clinton is gaining momentum and leading in many swing states after the first debate and voters are starting to accept her as the inevitable winner whether they like her or not.
On the other hand, Trump is doing his usual tomfoolery of insulting Latinos and Hispanics, both; since he does not know the difference between the two. He has been told by the RNC that if he does not do well in Sunday's town hall debate they will stop supporting him. I doubt that Trump even cares about their support; he has Fox News. When he shows the world Sunday night that he is again unfit to be president it won't matter to his supporters. The RNC threat will merely be used by Trump as an excuse as to why he lost the election. This entire election has been nothing more than an ongoing scam by Trump to enrich himself: the fact that he won the nomination was a moneymaking opportunity for him; losing the election is still a moneymaking opportunity for him.Trump does not care about his supporters, the RNC, or the country's future as long as he sees opportunities to make money and be famous. The latest figures from Politicus USA showed that Trump had siphoned off about ten million dollars for his businesses already during the campaign. The nitwits who believe his bullshit are the same suckers who have voted faithfully for the GOP since LBJ passed the civil rights legislation in the sixties. They have elected Nixon, Reagan, Bush 1, Bush 2, and all the assorted trash in the federal and state legislatures over the last thirty-five years. Their motivations for voting for the fear and racist propaganda spewed by the GOP has not and will not change. These suckers are trapped by their own ignorance, stupidity, greed, racism, religious dogma, and myths. Trying to explain to them rationally why Trump and the GOP is a scam is a total waste of time, if not impossible. They don't think critically or logically about their decisions and Trump relies upon that to get their small money donations and to appear at his Klan-styled rallies. For thirty-five years, the Trump supporters and even Trump have believed the GOP's lies and baseless policies. The GOP used them to win elections, Trump uses the lies on them like drug addicts waiting for their next fix and he is the supplier; gladly saying out loud what they have been saying at the kitchen tables. So Trump's lost on November 8 may be a lost for the GOP and its trolls but for Trump he never had anything to lose anyway; and his supporters have always been losers. |
