As the sequester looms just four days ahead, I can't help but wonder what all those GOP voters in Red States must be thinking now that their jobs are on the line. Did they believe that voting against the black man who is President would be like taking milk and cookies? Did they think that their great savior Mitt Romney would really help them to right the ship from the socialist, communist, Muslim Kenyan occupying the White House? I doubt it. They just wanted their country back from the progressive, commonsense, human-centered policies Obama was promoting. They believed the horseshit that Romney, Ryan, and the rest of the right-wing fools was telling. You know how reducing taxes leads to more money and that small government or no government was the best thing for America since they were all responsible boot-strappers who had made on their own.
They placed their faith in Wall Street and corporations who pay no taxes and defraud them out of their hard earned pensions and sell them worthless products. The Poor Republican, that is the ones who work for a paycheck, have always considered government and government programs to be a waste of their money. Like for instance the great Marco Rubio who attests to using student loans, financed by the government, as helping him get an education but now warns everyone that they are bad. The failure of the Poor Republican to see through the hypocrisy and fraud of elected Republicans deserves some serious study by psychologists. Being a racist, an evangelical, or anti-abortionist doesn't explain totally voting against ones own interest. Their must be another reason why people of some intelligence continually vote fools, frauds, and charlatans into political office at state and federal levels. Thomas Franks wrote a book entitled "What is the Matter with Kansas" perhaps he should write another one about Poor Republicans.
