Hillary's vp pick will determine her fate

Now that we have the Republican Party squarely defined as a party representing American racists with the choices of Donald Trump and Mike Pence, it falls to Hillary Clinton to pick a VP. The speculators in the media have mentioned the following:

1. Virginia Sen. Tom Kaine, (sellout- Wall Street ass-kisser)
2. Agriculture Sec. Tom Vilsack, (Demo in name only)
3.  Labor Sec. Tom Perez (great choice)
4. Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren (need in Senate) 
5. Housing and Urban Development Sec. Julian Castro (shaky - Bill Clinton supporter)
6. )Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper (why?) 
7. Retired Admiral James Stavridis (ridiculous)
8. New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker (Wall Street ass-kisser)
9. Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown (need in Senate)

The latest speculation is that Sen. Kaine will be the choice. Sen. Kaine, according to the Intercept.com has endorsed loosen regulations for the banking industry, he opposes the Consumer Protection Bureau, and he wants to reduce regulations of the payday lending industry. He has also voted against other consumer friendly regulations. Now given the fact that Hillary has received millions from the banking industry it is difficult to see how any meaningful bank oversight could occur under a Clinton-Kaine administration. It represents not a progressive ticket but a New Democrat ticket that continues policies as usual from the Demos.   

Hillary's selection of Kaine will guarantee a lost for the Demos in November. A Kaine pick will turnoff the Progressive wing of the party, all Bernie supporters, and ensure no down-ballot support. If she doesn't want to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, her campaign's best choice Perez. Perez's selection does not jeopardize the Senate, he is progressive, appeals to the Latino vote, enhances support by Bernie's army and signals that her so-called progressive shift is real.  That is what a smart person would do but maybe she just isn't that smart.
