Homeland Insecurity

The Homeland Security Department is preparing to shutdown on Feb. 27 because the Senate cannot/will not pass a blackmail peace of legislation meant to stop President Obama's immigration executive order. According to the NY Times: "John A. Boehner, has signaled that he is prepared to let financing for the agency lapse if the Senate remains unable to pass the spending bill that the House sent over last month. That bill, in addition to funding the agency, would gut the president’s legal protections for as many as five million undocumented immigrants, including children."
Thirty thousand people in the department will be furloughed and many operations will have to cease. This is Republican governance. The trolls in Congress would rather cater to the white supremacist base than ensure the safety of all Americans, enforces border activities, fight terrorism, and pay the hardworking people that work there. 
This is governance by idiots who have no ability to propose meaningful legislation but can spend tax payers' money voting to repeal the ACA fifty odd times. This is what happens when the intellectually challenged vote for frauds, liars, racists, and thieves. The phrase American Exceptionalism is beginning to mean more and more American stupidity, what a shame.
