I've voted for my last neoliberal

Two weeks ago I cursed myself, held my nose, drank my last ounce of Absolute and mailed in my ballot with Hillary Roddam Clinton as my choice for President of the U.S. I tried to rationalize this event by telling myself that I am really voting for Atty. Gen. Kamela Harris of California for the U.S. Senate and that HRC is just an afterthought but the reality is I had to vote for HRC and suffer through four more years of half-ass policies designed to soothe the public's anger while promoting the greed economy.

As a registered independent, a pragmatist, and a progressive, I had no choice. Voting for the racist pile of garbage and probable pedophile that is Donald Trump was out of the question. A third party vote is ludicrous especially given that the choices are between a fraud, Jill Stein(see Daily Beast), and an imbecile, Gary Johnson of the fraudulent Libertarian Party. So I was stuck with Clinton.

I say that because this is the last time that I will vote for a neoliberal since I have finally come to understand just how disappointing and fraudulent their policies are. Neoliberalism maintains protections for the oligarchy(the 1%) while screwing the masses(the 99%). Inequality grows, opportunities diminish, workers suffer, bogus trade deals are enacted and the status quo is protected. I have had my fill of those policies and Clinton is a four year continuation of the same: protecting Wall Street criminality, imperialism in the Middle East and/or wherever her corporate masters tell her to fight, giving lip-service to pressing domestic issues and lacking the courage to solve them. 

Clinton will accomplish nothing during her presidency! She will be continually obstructed by the fascist, misogynist and racist Republican Party. She will have at least two or three Blue-dog Senate Demos who will not support her policies(Manchin-W, Virginia, and Bayh-Indiana, Heitkamp- North Dakota, plus others). She will need the Senate(if Demos are able to win it back) to change its rules to eliminate the filibuster to get nominees confirmed for judiciary and other government appointments. She will be unable to get any meaningful tax reform, budget initiatives, infrastructure spending, banking reform(if she tries), healthcare policies(public option), or student loan reform through the House GOP idiots. In other words, her presidency will be four years of stagnation, obstruction, and wrangling with the GOP's countless scandal-mongering, Clinton Foundation/email/Benghazi investigations, and possible impeachment.

The only light at the end of the tunnel is 2018 if the stupid, lazy, uninformed public goes to the polls and gives Demos some more progressive non-neoliberals and votes out the GOP trash in the House and Senate. History does not bode well for that happening; so that in 2020 the Demos will have to run a truly progressive presidential candidate and dump Clinton's neoliberal mob or America will continue on its path of becoming a Third World Oligarchy.
